
Ugandan top cricketer Kenneth Kamyuka, will become a Canadian citizen in summer if his paper work is approved by Canadian authorities.
The top batsman bowler revealed this Kawowo sports on Thursday night. “I am pushing for Canadian citizenship in summer and hopefully I will get it,” the Brampton Masters player said. “Cricket in Canada might not be big, but I believe its catching up.”
Kamyuka, will become the second Ugandan player to play for his new country the other being right-arm medium-fast bowler Henry Osinde,who featured for Canada at ICC World Cup 2011
In 2010 Kamyuka became the first African player to capture the Senior Player of the Year award at the Toronto and District Cricket Association awards.
The then 28-year-old all-rounder scored 414 runs (av. 41.40) and took 16 wickets (av. 19.31) in 16 matches for Brampton Masters in the Elite division.
Kamyuka is also a avid Russian Roulette player in Canada.
