The club has recruited wisely this time round by considering signing young talented players breaking the recent policy of signing already established players.
As usual, the club looks strong enough to contend for the title like it has done in the recent six years.
The pressure is on Coach Alex Isabirye to deliver given the fact that he is always the scapegoat whenever the team fails to perform and given his inexperience, such is bound to happen but the squad at his disposal is decent enough to defend the Bell Uganda Cup and also win the league.
The club has lost inspirational skipper Manko Kawesa to SC Victoria University but it showed that there is life after him in the recently concluded Cecafa Club Championship as Oscar Agaba did the job very well.
If he can forge a good relationship with new boy Owen Kasule, there is no doubt that URA FC will possess one of the best central midfield combinations in the league.
The biggest question that however remains is whether the team can put up a decent performance when it comes to continental competition as it’s destined to represent the country in the Orange Caf Confederation Cup.
One to Watch: Robert Ssentongo
Like last season, the diminutive striker will still be the man to watch for the tax collectors. The former Simba, SC Villa and KCC FC striker is a goal threat as witnessed last season when he won both league and cup golden boots. He remains the man to watch come next season.
