Ugandan U-23 international midfielder Hakim Ssekumba is set to make his Kenyan Premier League debut tomorrow against Muhoroni Youth FC.
The midfield maestro who was a deadline transfer capture by the Batoto Ba Mungu after delays in acquisition of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is seen as a formidable replacement for fellow Ugandan Musa Mudde who joined Tanzanian Vodacom champions Simba SC after serving the KPL side for two and half years.
In a related development, the former Bunamwaya SC midfielder has been given shirt. No 23 formerly won by Kenyan international Titus Mulama who currently plies trade in Democratic Republic Congo. Sofapaka FC lay second on the KPL table on 32 points just two adrift of table leaders Tusker FC and one ahead of third placed AFC Leopards who beat Sofapaka 1-0 in their last league outing last Wednesday.
The Sofapaka – Muhoroni game is live on Super Sport 9, East at 1930hrs.
