The Central region may not probably have the best talent but in terms of competition, it gives it best.
The U-17 tourney heads to Kampala and Masaka this week as the regional meets come to an end this weekend.
In Kampala, the 16 boys’ and eight girls’ sides will take part at Old Kampala SS grounds.
Kampala produced the winner of the national inter-regionals last year, Kampala Junior Team (KJT).
KJT had beaten Children Restoration Outreach (CRO) in the boys’ final.
Lisa Berg, the Fufa techinical advisor on the Crested Cranes’ bench is impressed with the talent country wide and believes Kampala has more to offer.
“I have liked the talent especially among many girls” she said, at last week’s Mbale edition.
Selected players will camp in Njeru Technical Centre for the inter-regionals slated for August 1-9.
The best players per gender will represent Uganda at the international Airtel U-17 tourney in Nairobi.
