In what is expected to be an epic clash in the league, Champions URA FC host record league winners SC Villa at Lugazi knowing that any slip up may lessen their chances of regaining the title and the first league and cup double in the club’s history. The two sides have met thrice this season, both have won and shared the spoils once.

However, Villa’s would be win was nullified following wrangles between FUFA and USL. Herman Wasswa’s late goal had earned the visiting Jogoos the lucrative three points. Alex Isabirye’s side is bouyed by the return of skipper Manko Kawesa, wingers Sula Bagala and Kayizzi Vicent. The trio has missed a couple of games previously through injury.

Allan Owiny is expected to maintain his place in goal with Masaba Simeon, Sam Ssenkomi, Musa Doka and Munaba Allan completing the back four. Manko Kawesa, Said Kyeyune and Nsumba Augustine in midfield while league leading scorer Ssentongo Robert is expected to lead the front three that include Feni Moses Ali and either of Ociti Benson, Sula Bagala or Kayizzi Vicent.

Coach Mike Mutebi will miss the services of skipper Bengo Steven (suspended), defender Denis Okoth (injury), Ssenfuka Patrick (injury), Ochan Benjamin and Muleme Isaac. Mulindwa Muwonge is expected to face his former side in goal. Misi Katende may replace Ssembatya Godfrey at right back leaving room to Gassana Phillip to partner on form Kisaliita Ayub at the heart of defence with Kasadha Lawrence completing the back four at left back. Kirabira Isaac, Ndaula Moses and Acema Robert are expected in midfield while  Herman Wasswa, Noah Ssemakula and either of Musamali Paul or Muganga Ronald are expected in a front three.

SC Villa’s last visit at Lugazi ended in chaos in the Bell Uganda Cup while the tax collectors were leading 3-1 by the 71st minute. In the same fixture last season, Dan Wagaluka’s solitary strike sealed victory for the hosts while the two sides shared the spoils in a one all draw. Ndaula Moses scored for the Jogoos while Nsumba Augustines equalised for URA FC.
