Bunamwaya SC aim to close gap on table leaders

WHERE: Buikwe Stadium. DATE: Tue 10th/04/2012. KICK OFF 4.30 pm.

Bunamwaya SC go into this game knowing that only a win will keep their hopes of winning the title they last won in 2009. Edward Golola’s side lie third on the 16 team log with 36 points and a win will help them leapfrog URA FC (38 points) into second place who are out of action.

If table leading Express FC lose against Hoima-Busia and Bunamwaya win by a big goal margin, they go top. Ceaser Okhuti’s form (8 goals in 6 games) gives the Wakiso based

side alot of confidence going into the game. Luwagga Kizito and Tony Odur are expected to join Okhuti to complete a deadly attacking trio.

Captain Kimuli Robert, Hakim Ssenkumba and either of Simon Sserunkuma or Mpande Joseph are expected in midfield. Ronald Sseku and Edward Ssali are to stay at the heart of defence with Wadada Nicholas and Walusimbi Godfrey playing on the right and left full back roles respectively commanded by Hamza Muwonge in goal.

Fire Masters’ last outing was a 4-1 win over whipping boys Utoda FC and George Nsimbe will remind his guns that the fight for relegation is not over yet. They visit a hostile ground where the likes of Proline and SC.Villa faced the wrath of the hosts. Charles Asiki and Bunkedeko Ali will lead the hunt for goals.

The Fire fighters are 13th on the table just a place above relegation having collected merely 19 points from 20 games this season. It won’t be easy to pick a point from Buikwe a place where only Victors FC and Utoda FC have managed to leave with at least a point. The first round encounter ended 1-0 in favor of Bunamwaya courtesy of a Mike Mutyaba strike. Mutyaba however won’t feature this time round as he no longer plays for Bunamwaya but Sudanese’ giants El-Merrick.
