Ten man Fire Masters tame Bunamwaya

Bunamwaya SC for the second time this season dropped points at Buikwe grounds when they were humbled by visiting relegation strugglers Fire Masters in an exciting goalless draw.

Bunamwaya who lie below Express and URA on the table could have been further in front with five seconds when Edgar Lugize sent a thunderbolt, micro seconds after the kickoff whistle.

His effort was denied by the visitors’ custodian Sam Kivumbi who tapped the ball on the cross bar before taming it, though a number of fans are still convinced it crossed the line.

The visitors dictated paly with their aerial balls which

Bunamwaya played along with for almost thirty minutes of the first half. Though on 19 minutes, Ronald Ssekubomba had to deny Moses Lukyamuzi who had only Hamza Muwonge to beat for the visitor to go ahead.

Balinya Juma’s dribbling antics in the middle endless pushed the hosts infront though the Luzige, Tony Odur and Cesar Okhuti were shy in front of goal.

For long spells Fire Masters made their presence felt by dominating possession and Okhuti was cautioned for handling the ball out of frustration.

Bunnmwaya’s best chance fell on Okhuti with five minutes to half time whwn he failed to shoot in an empty net after Odur had blocked Kivumbi off a Medi Muwonge cross from the left.

Luzige also missed three minutes later with his head from close range after Kizito Luwagga’s hard work on the left wing once again. Bunamwaya started the second with ten men after center half Edward Ssali failed to return because his shoes were tired to continue, which paved way for Deus Bukenya.

With the clock ticking, Bunamwaya started to pile pressure wining four corners in a space of three minutes but yielded nothing. Marksman Martin Muwanga was introduced for the tired Luwagga on 64 minutes though Mpande’s impact was felt from time he came on for Odur.

Fire Masters Lukyamuzi was shown matching orders after recklessly hitting Odur with the ball with 20 minutes to play. Kivumbi pulled off extraordinary saves to keep his team in the games from the endless pressure Bunamwaya was piling on Fire Masters. At the end of it all both teams were destined for a barren draw.
