
Uganda Super League and Bell Lager are set to do a weekly drive around the city and suburbs to attract fans to the various stadiums ahead of key fixtures in the league.
According to USL the drive will be run weekly to set the stage for fans to start flowing back into the stands league games in around the country have had low turn-ups even with games being broadcast live by SuperSport.
At the same time organisers of the league have reduced the fees for the games from 5,000 to 2,500 for all matches the fee entitles a fan to a Bell Lager or a bottle of Alvaro.
The Uganda Super League believes a drive like this will make the number of fans increase at the various stadiums across the country.
“We are looking at the new generation of fans who we believe will be atttracted to coming to watch the games at the various stadiums in the country, Kavuma Kabenge, USL chairman said. “It’s the new fans that we are looking for now the old generation.”
