The talk is heating up the city and we are now turning on the fire as the first World Title Fight is underway after the Cranes encounter with the Chipolopolo and all rounds will be heading to Kyandondo Rugby club come the 19th October.
And it’s less than a week to go, Ronald Mugula’s world title fight with Hungarian kick boxer Andras Nagy, Golola’s tormentor.
The Germany based Ugandan Kick boxer says the fact that the country celebrated 50 years of independence this month it will be his motivation and he will not bury the Ugandan flag and he will ensure that it flies higher as others have done in the likes of Stephen Kiprotich
Mugula has 58 fights with 47 wins, four losses and seven draws and he is currently the European Champion while his opponent Nagy has had 16 fights with three losses, two draws and 11 wins
Mugula is the current European champion while Nagy holds the intercontinental title. If he wins on October 19, the Ugandan will be the first world kickboxing champion after Moses Golola failed against Matte Szamboki on his first attempt.
Speaking to Kawowo sports Mugula said” All I want is to fight for Ugandans. Nagy has to lose here so that we get our revenge.” Vying for vengeance, every sports man has a goal to achieve and a record to break or leaving a legacy behind.
