Cricket Cranes have taken their World Cup preparations to Sri Lanka for 14 days as they continue to fine-tune their skills.

Uganda is in Group C alongside hosts West Indies, Afghanistan, New Zealand and PNG. The World Cup will be hosted by the West Indies and the USA from June 3rd to 30th.

Uganda will be facing Afghanistan on June 3rd in their first World Cup match before taking on PNG (June 5th) and West Indies (June 8th) in Guyana and with the final group game in Trinidad and Tobago against New Zealand (June 14th).

The 15-man squad for the Sri Lanka training tour has Bilal Hassun and Alpesh Ramjani who missed the India trip due to different commitments. Juma Miyagi has made a good recovery and has made the tour. Riazat Ali Shah is still missing due to family reasons therefore he won’t be on this trip.

The team will play seven T20 matches in Sri Lanka against select sides before returning home to prepare for the All-Africa Games.
