Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) Graduates ready to cut the cake

Overview:

The graduates from the UOC Sports administrators and management classes underwent several course units as governance, strategic planning, marketing, financial management, human resource management and organizing events.

Over the years, the value of education has reaped instant and long-term dividends.

Education has enormous benefits as it enriches with basic knowledge, empowers, equips with the necessary certification and provides that crucial bridge to new peripheries of life, among others.

It is upon this firm background that the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) has fronted education for sports administrators coming to a decade now.

The latest fruits harvested from the classroom effort by Uganda Olympic Committee were evidenced during the eighth graduation ceremony for participants that partook of sports administration courses in 2023 at the UOC headquarters in Lugogo, Kampala city.

A total of 108 sports administrators from the 2023 cohort graduated from the sport administration and advanced sports management courses.

Fifty-five (55) of these were in the sports administrators’ class and fifty-three (53) completed the advanced sports management course.

UOC President Dr. Donald Rukare preached character, integrity and honesty and also advised the graduates to spend time growing sports rather than in conflict resolution.

“I congratulate you all for this achievement. I challenge you to remain loyal in sports service with the right character, integrity and honesty at all times. Let us grow sport at all times than wrangling or resolving conflicts” Dr Rukare stated.
