The absa-KH3 7 Hills run will be dedicated to supporting the education of girl children in Uganda.

The second edition of the Absa Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3) – 7 Hills Run will take place on Sunday, 17th March 2024 with 5KM and 21 KM distances to be covered.
The start and finishing point is at Kololo Airstrip in Uganda’s capital city, Kampala.
This run covers the seven iconic hills of Kampala city; Mengo, Kololo, Kibuli, Namirembe, Old Kampala, Nakasero and Makerere.
Like during the first edition, this run will be dedicated to supporting the education of girl children in Uganda, thanks to absa bank Uganda.
The bank is upholding its commitment to creating a positive impact and being a force for good, firmly believes that education is a fundamental right for every child, irrespective of gender.
absa bank Uganda managing director Mumba Kalifungwa expressed delight for the support from all participants from the previous year.

“Last year, over Ug.shs 200,000,000 was collected. These funds were channeled towards re-intergrating the girl child into school. A total of 2700 girls were supported. We continue to thank the other partners on board as Kakira Sugar, New Vision, UAP Insurance, Uganda Red Cross, DHL, Bakayima, Kampala Pharmacuticals, Crown Beverages (Aqua fina water and tents), hostalite web managers, Fenon events and many others” Kalifungwa noted.


Gerald Okware, represented the Hash Master Wilberforce Kyambadde during the official launch at Kampala Serena Hotel.
“Let us uphold the spirit of Ubuntu” Kyambadde noted in a speech read by Okware.
Girls in Uganda face numerous challenges in accessing education, including poverty, cultural norms, early marriages, unwanted pregnancies, and menstrual hygiene management issues.
The inaugural run was held on 28 May 2023 and recorded a resounding success.
The 2024 edition of the run is poised to be fun and inclusive cutting across a diverse section of runners including professionals led by multiple gold medalist Joshua Cheptegei.
Other participants can look forward to competing for prizes including a plot of land across multiple categories.
The best runner will be given a plot of land worthy Ug.Shs 14,500,000 at the Crown Estate in Bujuuko.


The kits for the run are priced at UGX 30,000 each. With over 2,600 participants, the inaugural run raised UGX 200 million, directly benefiting over 2,500 girls.
