Uganda Para-Power-lifting team at Entebbe International Airport

Uganda will compete at the 2024 world power-lifting championships in Egypt.

A team of five players departed Entebbe International Airport on Monday, 18th March 2024 for Sharm El Sheikh where the championship will be held.

The team will be captained by Denis Mbazira. The other players on the team include; Muhammad Nigo (80 kg), Safalu Tamale (80 kg), Baabu Baabumba and Rebecca Zawedde.

Kenneth Sekilanda is the head coach and expresses readiness coming to this tourney.

“We have prepared well and ready to play in the World Paralifting championships in Egypt. All the players are mentally and physically fit” Sekilanda disclosed to Kawowo Sports.

The official weigh-in was held on Tuesday, 19th March 2024.
