Heaters Vs Rhinos 6:30pm
Vegetarians Vs Titans 8:30pm
Still working out their kinks on offense, the KIU Titans are leaning on what they do well – defense. And that focus has helped them not win against big sides they have faced –so far but concede few points. Playing Vegetarians, who are an offensively struggling team, Titans (3-2) will not need physical defense but will rather concentrate on the offense to put away the game.
Vegetarians (0-5) fell to City Oilers in their last game and will look to Grace Adra, Vennie Jurua and Bernard Okumu on the offensive half. Titans meanwhile lost their last game (to Warriors) and the front court of Edwin Katerega, Bol Akol and Michael Makiadi and combined scoring from the back court as well as the bench should win KIU the game.
After falling to Nkumba Marines three days ago, Heaters hope to bounce back against Charging Rhinos. Heaters (1-5) only won their opening game of the season while Rhinos (2-4) lost the opening four games but won the last two behind Abel Omoding’s big performances and seek to improve.
With Marines, Heaters, Vegetarians and Rhinos looking the likely candidates to fight relegation, Rhino’s guard Isaac Kamya believes they are better than fighting going back to the leagues they left last season. “I think we are the better of them and we should be winning against them” he said.
