Change is a real fact of life. In many cases, it impacts positively but often times it leaves some people never contented. The Uganda Rugby Union has made resounding changes for the fresh up comping season.

The Uganda Rugby Season has been re-structured and starting with the 2013/2014 season, the new season will now kick-off in November, 2013. The previous seasons would kick offin January or early February of a calendar year.

“This will allow the local league and franchise competitions complete before the East African regional and international competitions start, thus allowing for adequate preparation of players”, reads a statement from the Union.

The MTN Heathens won a double in the league and Uganda Cups for the season 2012/13.
