KIU Rangers Vs UCU Lady Canons 6:30pm
UCU Canons Vs Dmark Power 8:30pm

When Dmark Power and UCU Canons matched-up in the first round, they had something in common – they were both unbeaten. Power’s forward Isaac Afidra put in his best performance of the season with a 29 and 16 effort in the 82-75 win.

Going into the second round match up tonight at the MTN Arena, Power are coming off  a loss to Ndejje Angels and Canons are coming off a win against Rhinos. If losing successive games or losing to the same opponent twice doesn’t matter, then something else should – probably the top spot which is at stake.

To UCU’s coach, Nicholas Natuhereza it is just another game that his team needs to win in their title quest much as he attaches importance to the game. “I care about being good enough to beat everyone we meet if we want to win the league” he says. “The game is important for us to win regardless of the implications and we are trying to get ready to win the game.”

While Power have not looked as good in the last three or four games, the team has got players who can stand up to the accession.

Meanwhile, UCU Lady Canons look destined join UCU Canons and Charging Rhinos in the teams to have completed the regular season unbeaten. A win against  KIU Rangers this evening will imply Lady Canons completing the regulars season unbetaen.

Having already beaten Rangers by atleast 15 points in each of the two meetings this season, dropping this one doesn’t look likely. Even when they looked pedestrian against A1 Challenge in their last game they got a win.
