Harambee Stars assistant coach James Nandwa says that South Sudan goalie Juma Inaro should have been sent off for a foul on Jacob Keli.
The custodian fouled Harambee Star’s striker Jacob Keli inside the 18 yard area denying him a scoring opportunity and by virtue of him being the last man, he should been sent off.
Though Zanzibar referee Waziri Sheha pointed to the spot; the second in the game but neither gave neither a yellow nor a red card.
In his post match interview with Kawowo Sports, Nandwa said that the goalie was lucky to stay on.
“I am telling you the goal keeper should have seen red”, he said. “It’s surprising that the referee didn’t not even dish out a yellow card. It was a decision against us but sometimes it happens in football. Am not here to judge the referee”, he concluded.
Kenya beat South Sudan 3-1 in their second group game and go second in group A with four points same as group leaders Ethiopia but the later has a better a goal difference.
