1st National Beach Volleyball Circuit:

Finals

Men:

Ambrose Otawo Okello/Dickens Otim 2 – 0 Hannington Nsubuga/Isaac Omedo (21-16, 21-15)

Ironically, Dickens Otim, the top seeded national beach volleyball player alongside teammate, Ambrose Okello in the county (on 445 points apiece) has in equal measure castigated and praised the current prevailing strong winds on Africa’s fresh largest water body, Lake Victoria towards the joy that accompanies beach volleyball.

“Sincerely, the winds had an adverse effect on our game but still it’s the beauty of beach volleyball, Otim, who teamed up with Okello to clinch the 2014 maiden national volleyball circuit revealed to Kawowo Sports in an exclusive interview.

Through out the entire duration of the 2 day event, strongs winds kept blowing off the lake to the shores when the volleyball courts and inevitably action was taking place.

“Some times the winds disorganize your opponents and it plays to your advantage but at times, it can be a real put off”, Otim, who is also the national men’s volleyball team skipper explains with his usual grin off his face.
