New Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) president Jack Wavamuno revealed a new motorsport strategy yesterday during a press briefing at Bugolobi, stressing the need for dialogue with all stake holders of the sport to develop and take Motorsport to the next level.
Broadening the sport to attract more sponsorship and consultation were stem of the strategy that will unite the whole Motorsport fraternity including drivers, clubs and organisers for his two year term in office.
Part of the cause to revamp the sport was National Council Of Sports (NCS) represented by General Secretary Jasper Aligawesa, who urged all members of Motorsport to unite without excluding anyone.
“So long you are a member of motorsport, you must be part of it because the problems we’ve had with other federations is that; they want to exclude other people. “If you are a member, I request, please work with everybody because when you are united you become successful,”he said.
In another development, the FMU technical committee also peeked through for the upcoming events revealing 23rd February as event day for Motocross at Busiika.
