Busiro against Buluuli at the Ssentema playground

A total of 19 goals were scored on match day three of the 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup.

For the third time in a row, five-time record champions Gomba lost a match.

Gomba lost 1-2 to Busujju at the Kakindu stadium along Mityana road.

John Kisekka and Lauben Lubwama scored for Busujju.

Joseph Ssewaali got the consolation for Gomba, their first goal of the competition.

The defeat leaves a bitter pill for Gomba’s technical docket led by Ddungu who had also lost to Buddu 0-1 in Masaka (Kitovu sports arena) and Ssese (1-0 at Kabulasoke PTC playground).

Eddy Bulwanyi of Busujju was named man of the match.

At Ssentema playground, Busiro edged Buluuli 1-0 courtesy of Micheal Jinta’s last minute goal.

Jinta was named man of the match.

In Masaka at the Kitovu Arena, the reigning champions Buddu overcame Ssese 1-0, thanks to Joseph Kayondo’s strike on 83 minutes.

Geofrey Oyaka of Buddu was named man of the match.

Mawogola lost at home to Kyaggwe 0-2. David Mugalu and Marvin Busulwa scored Kyaggwe’s goals.

Mugalu earned the man of the match accolade.

2021 finalists Buweekula condemned Bulemeezi 3-0 in Mubende.

Jimmy Kalema notched a brace and Jonathan Luyonde added the other.

Kalema deservedly earned the man of the match award.

Mawokota overcame the visiting islanders Buvuma 3-0 in Buwama.

Twins George Isingoma and George Kato as well as Abdul Razak Takuba scored for David Mutono Katono’s coached side.

Kato was named the man of the match.

Three matches ended in stalemates. The Kooki-Kabula contest ended 2-all, Kyaddondo and Bugerere played to a 1-all draw whilst Butambala and Ssingo each failed to find the back of the net.

Match day four will come on the weekend of 19th and 20th July 2025.

This championship bars the use of topflight and FUFA Big League players.
