Victoria University Vs Entebbe – At Namboole

Entebbe football club head coach, Matia Lule might be busy with the Junior U-17 national side, but all his other half is with the club.
Assistant coach, Alex Gitta Mabanga has since taken over the ruins of the club.
As the team visits last season’s league runners up, Sports Club Victoria University, they are in desperate quest to pick their maiden points of the 2014/15 Uganda Premier league.
Whereas Entebbe lost their opening fixture, 0 – 1 to Simba f.c at Nakivubo last Saturday, Victoria University won 1 – 0 away to Lweza.
The last time the two sides faced off at Namboole, Entebbe succumbed to a 0 – 3 FUFA Super league loss against Sports Club Victoria University.
Since that fixture, Entebbe has lost a number of players. Club top scorer, Yusuf Kinene has since departed to Bul f.c as while goalie, Mike Majwega, Striker Abraham Ndugwa and defender Willy Kalemba have ventured for greener pastures.
Sports Club Victoria University has only lost Noah Ssemakula and goalie Ali Kimera.
Defender, Denis Iguma, who had traveled to Lebanon for trials is back at the club and is expected to feature in this game.
Both coaches are raring to go for the fixture in a bid to bag early points.
“We target the 3 points to head the table standings”, Morley Byekwaso, SCVU’s head coach told Kawowo Sports.
His counter part at Entebbe, Gitta reasons losing two games in a row will spell disaster for the team bankrolled by former FUFA treasurer, Anthony Kimuli.
Entebbe f.c held a friendly game against Uganda Cubs 1 – 3 on Tuesday.
The other fixtures in the Uganda Premier League will see SC Villa host their second consecutive game at Mityana Ssaza grounds against Lweza f.c.
Bright Stars’ goalie, Mathias Kigonya faces a stern test as he his team team hosts his former team, Soana at Lugogo stadium.
Simba football club, still mourning the sudden death of their defender, Fahad Musana will host Vipers at the Bombo military stadium.
This will be Vipers’ first game of the campaign.
