Congo rallied from a goal down to earn a point off Senegal during the one-all draw in a CHAN 2024 Group D encounter at the Amaan stadium in Zanzibar on Tuesday, 12th August 2025.
Senegal scored the opener for Senegal through Dechan Moussavou in the 19th minute thanks to Charles Atipo’s donkey work.
Layousse Samb grabbed the equalizer with eight minutes to play. The Teungueth defender scored off Seck Ousseynou’s assist.
This was the second game for Senegal which took them to four points as they remain top of Group D.
CECAFA representatives Sudan tussled West African opposition Nigeria in the subsequent game in the same group.
