Police FC have signed former Vipers defender cum midfielder Deus Bukenya and left back Richard Matovu.
Bukenya joins after a stint away in Botswana where he featured for Botswana XI and joins the Cops on a two-year contract while Matovu signs from league champions Vipers SC.
“We’re excited to confirm the arrival of defender Deus Bukenya on a 2-year deal. Renowned for his pinpoint diagonal passes, Bukenya joins us from Tanzania’s Kagera Sugar. He previously featured for Express & Prisons XI in Botswana,” read a statement on the club’s social media platforms.
Bukenya and Matovu’s experience will be vital for the Cops in the new season after they finished last season 11th on the log with 36 points.
His versatility means he can play as a centre back, right back and central midfield positions.
Though not unveiled yet, Police have also signed Said Kyeyune from Express FC and former Villa forward Charles Bbaale.
