Sadat Anaku Credit: Dundee United

Ugandan football striker Sadat Happy Ada Anaku has joined Hartford Athletic Football Club in the United States of America (USA).

The left-footed attacker signed a two-year employment contract and will don shirt 14.

He moved to the USA as a free agent after his brief tenure at KCCA Football Club ended last season.

The former Dundee United player comes to the US with a pedigree, having tested the professional football waters in Europe.

Anaku is known for his workmanship attitude, possession holding and exceptional abilities to shoot at goal from all ranges.

He also works diligently to involve teammates at all times, which makes him a wonderful team player.

The deal was concluded by Giv Entertainment USA, Real Talent Football contracts UK and Festoweb Smc Uganda.

Anaku joins Bobosi Byaruhanga (Oakland Roots), Allan Oyirwoth (New England Revolution), Toto Majub (Atlanta United II), Ibrahim Kasule (New York Red Bulls II), Edward Kizza (Indy Eleven) and Steven Sserwadda (New York Red Bulls II) as the other Ugandans plying their trade in the different leagues in the US.

For starters, Hartford Athletic Football Club is presently coached by Brendan Burke. They are owned by Hartford Sports Group, based in Hartford, Connecticut and was founded on 11th July 2018.

They host their home matches at the 5,500-seater Trinity Health Stadium.
