Masaka Sunshine Football Club and Uganda Cubs (national U-17) striker James Bogere won the November 2025 Fortbet Real Stars monthly award.
On a day it was also announced that he penned his first professional contract with a Danish top flight club, Bogere beat teammate Hamuza Ssengooba and Kawempe Muslims goalkeeper Saidat Namwanje.
Currently with the Uganda Cranes senior team in Morocco preparing for AFCON 2025, Bogere was represented by Masaka Sunshine teammate Elvis Opakrwoth during the crowning ceremony held at Lazio Italian Bar and Restaurant in Kololo on Tuesday, 9th December.

Relatedly, Hungary based swimmer Anna Gloria Muzito was the outstanding athlete from the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh city, Saudi Arabia.
Muzito earned two gold medals in the 50m freestyle and 100m freestyle races before bagging a silver in the 200m freestyle race.
Swimming coach Tonnie Kasujja received Muzito’s plaque.
Uganda national team golf captain Joseph Cwinya-ai won the golfer of the month accolade.

Cwinya-ai had a stellar performance in November, winning the Kinyara Open in Masindi as well as the Kakira Open in Jinja before coming second at the Equity Open in Namulonge.
He beat professional David Kamulindwa (winner at Kinyara and Equity opens) as well as Meron Kyomugisha (Kinyara and Kakira winner).
“I applaud the organizers of these awards; Fortebet and Jude Colour Solution who are the sponsors. I am humbled to win and I want to return in January 2026 as a champion again” Cwinya-ai remarked.
Meanwhile, former Uganda Cranes, Iganga United and Sports Club Villa midfielder Hakim “Boda Boda’ Magumba won the life-time achievement award.
Magumba joins other winners of the same accolade as Hajjati Aisha Nalule, Abey Nasur, Deo Akope (professional golfer), Yusuf Chuni, Charles Muhangi, Muhammed Ssengonga (retired FIFA Referee) and others.
These awards are organized by Real Stars Sports Agency on a monthly basis since 2018.
