Tunisia playmaker Ellyes Skhiri revealed the side is in good shape ahead of their crunch tie with Uganda Cranes in the Group C of the Afcon 2025 in Rabat.
Speaking ahead of the game, Skhiri talked about the disappointments of the previous edition with Tunisia failing on so many occasions to qualify out of the group.
“The squad is in good shape and in condition to deliver a solid performance. We have been together in camp, working hard as a collective to gel and play well,” he told the press.
“We know the disappointment of previous editions. Football is always evolving and we cannot rest on our laurels.
“We must compete to win and not take any team for granted. We have to start the tournament strong. Uganda are no pushovers and will be out to play for a win.”
Uganda will be looking at avoiding defeat against Tunisia for the first time in seven attempts.
