Uganda People’s Defence Forces Football Club (UPDF FC) has confirmed that coach Paul Kiwanuka is no longer part of the team.
The Army side revealed on Tuesday that the tactician has been relieved of his duties alongside Denis Oweka, who has also been part of the technical team.
“UPDF FC confirms that First Assistant Coach Kiwanuka Paul and Defensive Coach Oweka Denis have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect,” reads part of the statement.
In the same breath, the club has confirmed the appointments of Musa Mudde as first assistant and Juma Nassur as goalkeeping coach.
UPDF have had a tough run in the first leg, winning just three of the 15 games and find themselves second from bottom on 11 points.
The second round of the 2025/26 season will start next week, and UPDF FC will host Buhimba United Saints FC on Friday.
