Lugazi and Entebbe UPCC played out a one-all draw as the two sides faced off on Friday at the Lugazi stadium in Najjembe.

The closely contested game ended in a stalemate with Abraham Tusubira firing Entebbe into the lead before Billy Wabwire responded almost immediately.

Both teams came into this game searching for their first win since February. Lugazi last won against UPDF on 18th February, while UPPC, on the other hand, last registered a victory a day before in the same month.

In today’s game, it was the visitors who took the lead in the 8th minute through Tusubira when Laban Tibiits teed him up.

A minute later, the hosts got the equalizer with Wabwire capitalising on a defence lapse by Entebbe UPPC.

Despite efforts from either side, there were no further goals, thus each team walked away with a point.

The result means Lugazi remain 12th on the pile with 19 points, just four above the relegation zone. Entebbe, on the other hand, moved back to fifth place on 37 points, the same as NEC.
