The crew from Global Fan Network (GFN) and AFTV will meet the Arsenal fans in Uganda and attend the watch party as Arsenal faces Newcastle on 25th April 2026. They will also hold two youth workshops on monetization of digital social media communication, have a VVIP dinner and tour important tourist sites of Uganda.
Arsenal Football Club fans in Uganda have a reason to smile as they welcome different experienced crews from the Global Fan Network (GFN) and AFTV.
The delegation will be led by Robbie Lyle, the founder of GFN and the AFTV, arguably the largest football fan network in the world with an estimated 170,000,000 monthly views.
Lyle will be accompanied by colleagues such as Lee Judges, Cecil Jee Thomas, among others.
The development was confirmed by Barbara Nana Nabirye, the chairperson of the national organizing committee leading the entire arrangement of the crews.

Nabirye, the special presidential assistant (special duties) addressed the media at Kati-Kati Restaurant along Lugogo By-Pass in Kampala on Friday, 17th April 2026.
She was flanked by the deputy chairperson David Mafabi, also a senior presidential advisor in charge of political affairs (special duties).
We expect high profile guests from the fan base of the United Kingdom based Arsenal Football Club on the 24th April 2026. They will meet the Arsenal fans in Uganda and attend the watch party as Arsenal faces Newcastle on 25th April 2026. Lyle’s emotional fan interviews have helped turn AFTV into a global media brand, widely credited with pioneering a style that has since been replicated by fan-led sports channels across the world.

Lyle has made similar visits in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and lately Kenya, where he hosted watch parties and engaged directly with thousands of Arsenal supporters.
