Arsenal fans in Uganda having a special time at Kati Kati Restaurant, Kampala

Kenyan events guru Ken Mathiu of Sunstar Group is coordinating the entire visit to Uganda.

The long awaited AFTV crew will conduct a digital media monetization workshop at Kati-Kati Restaurant in Kampala, Uganda on Saturday, 25th April 2026.

The crew will be led by Robbie Lyle, the founder of Global Fans Network (GFN) and AFTV.

Robbie will be joined by Thomas Jee Ceci and Judges Lee Marl, alongside other support members of the crew.

They are expected to arrive in the country on Friday evening prior to Saturday’s long program that starts with a workshop on digital media monetization in the morning till afternoon.

There will be a watch party later in the evening when Arsenal plays New Castle United as the final bend of the 2025/26 English Premier League.

Special presidential assistant Babirye Nana Nabirye, the national organizing committee chairperson of the Arsenal festival called upon the interested parties to attend the digital media social media monetization workshop.

“We are excited to announce the arrival of the AFTV crew to Uganda. Besides the watch parties at Kati Kati Restaurant and Serena Hotel, they will also engage our people during the digital monetization workshop to improve their welfare” Nabirye who was flanked by the senior presidential advisor in charge of special duties David Mafabi remarked.

“We thank the Government of Uganda and the other partners for the collective effort to have the AFTV crew come to Uganda safely” she added.

Superintendent of Police Rachael Kawala, the Kampala Metropolitan Public Relations Officer (PRO) assured the fans of maximum security to the fans and the visiting AFTV crew before, during and after the event.

“We shall deploy maximally before, during and after the Ekivulu Kya Arsenal festival to ensure that there is total security for all the people. There will be efficient deployments in the different areas and efficient traffic control. Avoid engaging in ticket frauds” SP Kawala told the media.

The AFTV channel is arguably the largest football fan network in the world, with an estimated 150M monthly views.

On Wednesday, 29th April 2026, the AFTV crew will host fans to a watch party as Arsenal plays Athletico Madrid at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The tour of the AFTV crew is sponsored by State House Uganda, Uganda Airlines, Ministry of Education and Sports, Vision Group, Tush Events, GFN, Kati Kati, Serena Hotels, among others.

Meanwhile, the visit of the AFTV crew will be spiced up by a subsequent tour of Arsenal Legends as Nwankwo Kanu, William Gallas, Ray Parlour, Lauren Mayer, Tony Adams and others who are expected in May 2026.

The legends are expected to help establish a state of art sports center of excellence in Uganda.
