Bukedea Comprehensive School-South made their intentions clear at the 2026 USSSA Boys Football Championship, after sweeping aside PP Newton in their first game of the tournament.

With the Championship getting underway on Monday in Lira City, several schools have been highlighted as contenders, and Bukedea is one of those.

Indeed, they showed their quality by overcoming PP Newton High School from Gulu 4-1 at Lango College Playground 1.

Simon Wanyama and Bob Atendere scored a brace each to guide the coach Ronald Ssali to victory.

Bukedea have reached the semifinals in the last two editions and would want to go a step higher this year.

The current East Africa (FEASSA) Champions are in Group I, which also has hosts Lira Town College and Numasa SS.
