The 2026 FIFPRO Africa Annual General Meeting will conclude in Kenya’s capital of Nairobi city on Saturday, 6th June at the Movenpick Hotel & Residences.

Uganda is ably represented by the Professional Footballers’ Union of Uganda (PFUU),a body that is in the final stages of its registration.

PFUU was invited to attend this convention on the basis an observer party with former Uganda Cranes international Godwin Buule Kiwanuka (General Secretary) representing.

Pertinent key deliberations rotating around the value of players around the different African countries have been discussed to better the football body on the continent, and beyond.

FIFPRO Africa division takes the due credit for highlighting such crucial issues partaking the beautiful game, particularly on the players’ docket.

This symposium was organized by the Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA).

Uganda, and two other African countries were invited as observer countries.

This was the second time Uganda was attending this convention after the inaugural one in Cairo, Egypt in 2025.

Uganda commends FIFPRO and FIFPRO Africa Division for protecting and serving players. This has helped us to strengthening ties and collaborations between Unions and FIFAPRO.
