Ex-SC Villa and URA FC Coach Paul Nkata finally won a league game at Nairobi City Star after failing in seven attempts.
The soft spoken Nkata had Oscar Mbugua and Sanneh Ebrimah who netted a brace to thank for victory against KCB.
Ugandan striker Ronald Musana was a second half substitute for the Bankers but could do little to change the score line.
Nairobi City Stars remain second from bottom of the log with just four points.
Elsewhere, for the second time in a week, Allan Kateregga came off the bench to score for Ushuru FC as he netted the winner and only goal of the game against AFC Leopards. Karim Ndugwa, Musa Mudde and Martin Kizza all started for the Ingwe.
In the other games, Sam Timbe’s Sofapaka held Gor Mahia to a goalless draw. Cranes midfielder Aucho Khalid played the entire game for the K’Ogalo while compatriots Shafik Batambuze and Johnson Bagoole featured for Sofapaka.
Mathare United and Sony Sugars drew 1-1 while Tusker FC beat Western Stima 3-1 with goals from Humphrey Mieno, Jesse Were and Clifford Alwanga.
Former Proline player Aziz Kemba was an 86th minute substitute for the Brewers. Hamza Muwonge was an unused substitute as Thika United beat Chemelil Sugar 1-0.
