The final of the 2026 CECAFA U17 Women’s Championship is confirmed following the successful completion of the semifinal games on Sunday.

Hosts Tanzania and neighbours Uganda will face off in the final on Tuesday after the two convincingly won their respective semifinal games.

To reach the final, Tanzania overcame South Sudan with a 4-0 victory at the KMC Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Bahat Kizanguzi led the damage on South Sudan, bagging a brace before Yasinta Kaluwa and Harrier Juma added a goal each.

It should be noted that Tanzania had progressed to the semifinals as Group A leaders with seven points ahead of Kenya on goal difference.

In the other semifinal, Uganda got the better of Kenya, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Shadia Nabirye, Immaculate Acen and Justine Ayerango.
