The Uganda Handball Super League starts this weekend, 25th April, 2015 at the Nkumba University grounds. This follows last weekend’s postponement following the security threats posed to Uganda Christian University (UCU).
The league was supposed to have kicked off the previous week at the UCU handball courts but was pushed ahead after reports emerged that of Al Shabaabu planned to attack the University.

There are four games lined up on the day — one for women and and three for men.
Hosts and the league women defending champions, Nkumba University play Police Lady Metro club in the only women’s fixture to be honored.
In the men’s category, Prison Spears start the league with their title defenses against Ndejje University Scorpions.
Augustine Carl Mugalu, an administrator with Uganda Handball Federation (UHF) expects a competitive league.
It is long overdue that we have the league started. We expect a competitive league since all the teams have prepared well.
