St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde is boosted by the timely arrival of their head coach John Omondi, who has been with the Uganda U18 national team in West Africa.

Omondi brings confidence to the team that has performed well under coach Jackson.

These two sides were outstanding during the group stages, where Amus College School finished top of the pool as Kyabakadde was second behind Rwanda’s ITS Kigali.

ITS Kigali comes to the other semifinal contest as a hot favourite having won the trophy last year in Kakamega.

The semifinals for the girls will also be played on the same day ahead of the finals on Saturday, 22nd August 2026.

Uganda has so far done well in beach soccer (girls), Netball, Table Tennis (boys and girls), Badminton (boys and girls), Scrabble (girls), Tennis (boys) and Softball (girls).

Kenya has captured gold in athletics and cross-country, Rugby (7s and 15s), Hockey (boys and girls), Scrabble (boys) as well as Lacrosse (boys and girls).

This is the 23rd edition of the FEASSA Games with over 8000 participants from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
