FUFA Women Super League outfit, KCCA Women has on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Hamza Lutalo as their new head coach. Lutalo returns to the club for the second stint have been with the Kampala Queens between 2022-2023.

“THE KING IS BACK! The return of a leader. The return of a winner. Let’s get to work. Welcome home, Coach Hamuza Lutalo.” The club announced.

Lutalo replaces Ethiopian coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal who parted ways with the club following expiration of his contract.

In his first spell at the club, Lutalo guided them to the 2022/24 FUFA Women Super League title, the first in the club history.

He returns to reshape the club that is undergoing transformation both on and off the pitch. Recently, the club changed name from Kampala Queens to KCCA Women.

Three key players have since left including; Patience Nabulobi, Shamusa Najjuma and Catherine Nagadya. On the other hand, the club has signed young striker Nusulah Nakintu.

With the 2026/27 FUFA Women Super League fixtures already out, KCCA Women will begin their season away to newly promoted URA Ladies on 20th September.
