• FUFA Women Super League | MD5 | Saturday October 31st
  • Lady Doves Vs KCCA Women FC – Katusabe Dove Playground | 4 p.m

Lady Doves will have to find their scoring touch and overcome a painful history against KCCA Women when the two sides meet in the FUFA Women Super League at Katusabe Dove Playground in Masindi on Saturday.

The hosts welcome KCCA for a Matchday Five encounter scheduled for 4 pm, hoping to turn their home advantage into a much-needed result against one of the league’s early pace-setters.

Lady Doves have endured a difficult start to the 2026/2027 campaign, collecting four points from four matches to sit ninth on the table. Their biggest concern has been in front of goal, where they have managed just one strike, while conceding twice.

Their only victory so far came against URA Ladies on October 18, when Sumaya Nsisi scored a dramatic 94th-minute winner to secure a 1-0 home victory.

It was a moment of relief for the Masindi side, who had opened their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Uganda Martyrs Lubaga before settling for a goalless draw away to Amus College.

However, they failed to build on the victory against URA, falling 1-0 to Makerere University in their most recent outing.

With goals proving difficult to come by, Lady Doves will need to be more adventurous in attack without losing the defensive discipline that has kept most of their opponents at bay.

Nsisi, whose late strike earned them their only three points so far, will be one to watch as the hosts search for a breakthrough against familiar opponents.

But standing in their way is a KCCA side that has made a habit of getting the better of them.

KCCA have won all their last five league meetings against Lady Doves, scoring 11 goals and conceding just twice in that run. Their most recent encounter, on April 25, 2026, ended in a 2-1 away victory for the Kampala side.

Lady Doves will be eager to end that run, but they face a team arriving in Masindi full of confidence.

KCCA have made an unbeaten start to the season, collecting eight points from four matches to sit second on the table, level with Kawempe Muslim and St Noa Girls Zana.

They have won twice and drawn twice, scoring six goals and conceding two, a record that reflects their ability to combine attacking threat with defensive solidity.

Hamuza Lutalo’s army opened their campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over URA Ladies at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, before being held to a goalless draw by St Noa Girls Zana.

They have since maintained their unbeaten run, most recently edging Jinja United 3-2 on October 22 in a closely contested encounter that showed their ability to find a way to win.

The visitors will look to Yuster Kayesu to keep the midfield ticking and provide the link between defence and attack, while Joanita Ainembabazi and Kamiyati Naigaga are expected to lead the search for goals.

Their attacking quality could present a major challenge for Lady Doves, who have struggled to score even when their defensive work has kept matches tight.

However, Lady Doves have already shown they can snatch a result late, as their victory over URA demonstrated.

Against a KCCA side that knows how to hurt them, however, they will need a complete performance.
