URA Ladies defender Angel Gloria Nakanwagi has vowed to work harder after earning Woman of the Match honours in her side’s 2-0 victory over She Corporates.

The defender was delighted with the result, admitting that the encounter was a tough contest but crediting the team’s determination for helping them secure all three points.

“It was a bit intense. I thank God that we managed to win, although it wasn’t easy. He helped us create chances, and we managed to get the victory,” Nakanwagi said.

The individual accolade was an added motivation for the defender, who believes it will inspire her to push harder in pursuit of her personal ambitions.

“The Woman of the Match award gives me the morale to work harder so that I can achieve my targets,” she added.

Beyond the individual recognition, Nakanwagi believes the victory is an important boost for URA Ladies as they seek to climb the league standings and challenge for a place at the top.

“This win also boosts the team as we work towards getting to the top of the table,” she noted.

The victory gives URA Ladies renewed momentum as they continue their push for a stronger position in the league.

After the victory, URA Ladies lie fifth on the log with nine points after five games in the ongoing campaign.
