Uganda Tennis Ace and Top seed, Duncan Mugabe has qualified for the final of the Uganda Tennis Open after downing Ayella Simon 6-2, 6-1 at the Lugogo Tennis Complex today.

Duncan came off a  6-1, 6-2 win against Edward Odonchen in the quarter final and now he revels o a journey that could see him defend his title against fellow Ugandan David Oringa or Kenyan Ibrahim Kibet.

Ayella, who has urguably had the toughest route, came from 3-1 down to win the first set 6-4 before winning the next 6-4 to dump out highly billed Rwandese, Habiyambere on court 4 yesterday.

In an interview, Ayella had hoped to hurt Mugabe where it pains most but nothing went as earlier planned. In the women’s category, Kenya’s Shuffa Changawa won 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the finals of the Ladies Singles.
