SC Villa's Patrick Kakande celebrates goal against Express FC Credit: John Batanudde

On Saturday, 19 September 2026, Matchday Four of Sizoni Pamoja reached its conclusion, with all nine fixtures finally played after two consecutive matchdays were reduced to seven games due to Kitara and Vipers’ CAF engagements.

The full slate produced 20 goals, with home advantage prevailing in six matches, one away victory recorded and the remaining two fixtures ending in stalemates.

Here is a look at some of the key talking points from Matchday Four.

BUL, NEC, SC Villa keep unbeaten runs intact

Match Day Four got underway on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, with three fixtures producing 11 goals. SC Villa swept aside Kigezi HomeBoyz 3–0 at home, with Patrick Kakande, Aslam Ssemakula and Andrew Otim finding the net.

At Lugogo, NEC staged an emphatic comeback against URA, recovering from Isma Mugulusi’s opener to score four unanswered goals. James Jarieko, Enrique Lubwama and a brace from Richard Basangwa completed the turnaround.

In Njeru, BUL handed Blacks Power their first defeat of the season with a 2–1 victory. Lawrence Olaboro and Simon Achidi scored for BUL, while Oscar Otim pulled one back for Blacks Power. The result preserved BUL’s perfect start, with four wins from four.

While NEC and SC Villa have yet to match BUL’s 100% record, they remain unbeaten. Alongside Kitara, the trio is yet to taste defeat this season. BUL, NEC and SC Villa occupy the top three places respectively, while Kitara sit in the bottom places with two points from their two matches played.

KCCA, UPDF and Vipers get off the mark

Massive relief came KCCA’s way after a difficult opening three matches in which they had neither won nor scored. Emmanuel Anyama’s strike condemned a wasteful Kataka side to a 1–0 defeat at home, handing KCCA their first victory—and their first goal—of the season.

UPDF also secured their first win, overcoming Maroons 1–0 in a scrappy encounter at Nakivubo through Hassan Zzinda’s goal. Unlike KCCA, who had suffered two defeats and recorded one draw, the Mbalangu-coached side entered the fixture with two draws and a loss.

After losing to UPPC on the opening day and subsequently sitting out two match days due to CAF engagements, Vipers returned to action with a commanding 3–0 victory over Ntugasaze— their first of the season. Gusto Mulongo, Odili Chukuma and Ceaser Manzoki were on target as the champions climbed out of the relegation zone to 11th, while Ntugasaze remained rooted to the bottom without a single point.

The victories also lifted UPDF and KCCA from the lower reaches of the table to 8th and 10th respectively by the end of Match Day Four.

Five sides remain without a win

Kitara visited Express in Nakivubo for an entertaining encounter that ended 1–1. Frank Tumwesigye opened the scoring with a long-range effort before Nicholas Jjonga’s efforts beat goalkeeper Kibirige to restore parity and ensure the spoils were shared.

In Kamwenge, Mbarara City and UPPC played out a goalless stalemate, extending Mbarara City’s winless run.

Despite having played two matches fewer and remaining unbeaten, Kitara are still among the sides yet to register a victory this season. They are joined in that category by Mbarara City, Kigezi HomeBoyz, Ntugasaze and Kataka.

Elsewhere, Police secured their second win of the campaign with a 2–0 away victory over Lugazi. Left-back Richard Matovu and AbduShakur Jjemba were on target for the visitors.
