Simba F.C maybe languishing in the drop zone but midfielder Yasin Mugume feels they won’t go down come end of the season.
The army side are 14th on the 16 team log with eight points but the on loan signing from KCCA believes they will stay up although he admits it will require doubling efforts.
“We made a bad start to the season,” he started. “But it’s just eleven games played and if we can start picking points, I have no doubt we’ll beat the drop,” he added.
Mugume joined Morley Byekwaso’s side a few games into the season and straight away broke into the starting eleven and is adamant playing week in, week out has improved him as a player.
“Like any other player, playing every week makes you better. I am still developing as a player and the loan move won’t leave me the same.”
Mugume was a thorn in the defence of SC Villa as they drew goalless at Nakivubo and now targets maximum points against Soana who they face next on Friday.
“Three games without a loss have enriched our belief and the next target is maximum points off Soana.”
