In the aftermath of a 3-2 come from behind win over rivals Express FC, SC Villa interim coach Ibrahim Kirya has hailed the character of his charges.

SC Villa trailed two goals inside ten minutes thanks to Tony Odur and Ceaser Okhuti strikes but launched a comeback with Karim Ndugwa and Ambrose Kirya (brace) earning the Jogoos maximum points.

“Credit goes to the boys for they never gave up,” Kirya told Kawowo Sports. “Even at 2-0, they never gave up. They still believed and at the end of the day, they deserved victory,” he added.

Asked whether the performance is their best ever in the campaign, he had this to say. “No doubt about that but we are hoping for much better performances in the season.”

Since he took over from Spanish Antonio Flores, SC Villa has never lost a game in six outings winning four and drawing twice scoring six and conceding two.

SC Villa’s next game is against rivals KCCA on Tuesday at Nakivubo.
