Uganda Rugby Cranes emerged 43-17 winners over Barbarians franchise in a trial game ahead of their Elgon Cup encounter against powerhouse Kenya and on June 4 and Namibia in Africa Rugby Tier 1A.

Cranes posted tries through Philip Wokorach, Brian Kikawa, Ivan Ssemwami, Saul Kivumbi, Cox Kasigwa, Brian Asaba and Conrad Wanyama while Keith Sseruyange and Marvin Odongo touched for the Barbarians at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds on Saturday.

The technical bench recognized errors they will have to work on and team’s analyst and Rhinos’ coach Herbert Wafula attested to New Vision.

“Yes it was a trial game and it has helped us identify some areas of concern that the coaches will start working on next week,” Wafula said.

Uganda will also visit Zimbabwe on July 16 and Kenya July 30, a tie that will also double as the second leg of the Elgon Cup.
