Bright Stars football club long serving captain, Benard ‘Scholes’ Muwanga is destined to make possibly one of the biggest decisions of his life.

The defender cum defensive midfielder is one of the founding players at the club.

Faced with a career decision to execute, Muwanga who is currently part of the Uganda Cranes team preparing for the Eastern Uganda regional tour says he has left the final decision to his representatives.

Speaking to Kawowo Sports at Lugogo, Muwanga notes;

In life, we face big decisions.

I have served Bright Stars with all my heart and I will live to love the club when I leave or retire finally. At one moment, someone has to exploit the best offers available.

Muwanga’s comments come in the wake of media reports that he met the SC Villa president, Ben Immanuel Misagga.

The school teacher by profession calm player does not refute the reports but asserts he is still a Bright Stars’ player since he has a one year running contract;

Those guys (SC Villa) approached me. We talked and set my terms. I know they will make a follow up with my representative.

Muwanga, alongside right full back Joseph Nsubuga have been linked to the Nsambya based club.

Should the duo leave the club, then they will have joined goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya whose contract expired at the end of last season.

Kigonya is now destined for the Kenya Premier League with AFC Leopards.
