Focus will once again swing to the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers that take center stage on Saturday.

After Friday’s match, nine fixtures shall be played across Africa on Saturday.

Uganda’s ambassadors (FIFA referees) will be the officials in charge of the Group J game involving Ethiopia and Seychelles at the Hawassa International stadium.

Brian Miiro Nsubuga (center referee), Mark Ssonko (first assistant) and Hussein Bugembe (second assistant) traveled to the mountainous country this week.

The trio handled the 2016 Masaza Cup final at Namboole as a rehearsal fixture two weeks ago before traveling.

There are eight other game across Africa to be played on Saturday.

Nigeria hosts Tanzania at the Akwa Ibom stadium in Uyo state in a Group G match.

At the Limbe Omnisports arena, Group M leaders Cameroon host fellow West Africans Gambia.

Cote D’Ivoire play Sierra Leone at the Stade De Bouaka, Cape Verde take on Libya, Ghana plays Rwanda in Group H as Mozambique will entertain Mauritius at the Estadio Nacional De Zimpata in Maputo city.

At the 11 Novembro stadium in Luanda City, Angola will play Madagascar in a Group B match.

The rest of the matches including Uganda Cranes’ match against Comoros come on Sunday.

13 group winners, two second best countries and the host nation, Gabon will play at the 2017 African Cup of Nations.
