SC Villa head coach Wasswa Bossa, his entire coaching staff and the players all bombarded center referee Brian Nsubuga at the blow of the final whistle to protest his display in the 1-1 draw with table leaders KCCA FC at Recreation Ground, Masaka Saturday evening.

The complaints arise from Nsubuga’s decision to wave on two handballs inside the KCCA penalty area in the last ten minutes of the game.

Defender Timothy Awany and midfielder Isaac Kirabira handled the ball inside the forbidden area but the referee adjudged both to be ball to hand.

Second half substitute Farouk Musisi confronted KCCA goalkeeping coach Paul Kiwanuka at the end of the game accusing him and KCCA of conniving with referees to ensure the league trophy stays in Lugogo at the end of the season.

The fans joined the party as they hurled insults at KCCA head coach Mike Mutebi, his players and mostly the officials on the day.

Police had to be called upon to ensure the safety of the officials. Referees’ dressing room was also raided by the fans with their property reported to have gone missing.

Emanuel Okwi’s penalty canceled out Geoffrey Sserunkuuma’s goal as the two sides shared spoils at the soggy recreation ground.

KCCA also had their penalty appeal waved away by Nsubuga as Muzamir Mutyaba looked to have been brought down by left back John Adriko.

KCCA, who drew 2-2 with URA on Wednesday, remain top of the log, level on 48 points with second placed Villa but the defending champions have a better goal difference.

KCCA tough series of games will now see Mutebi’s charages take on Vipers and Express on Tuesday and Friday respectively.
