Joseph Ochaya was voted man of the match in Lusaka Dynamos’ 1-0 win over Mufulira Wanderers in the Zambia Super League in a match compatriot Herman Wasswa assisted the goal.
It was the first time the two started together for the Zambian side on Wasswa’s first start since joining the side from Express FC.
Ochaya was as colossus as a rock at left back but also made his famous runs down the flank to support the attack.
For Wasswa, he was denied by the opponent’s goalie on two occasions before setting up Marvin Jere for the winner.
The former Masaka LC and KCCA centre forward headed past the Mufulira defender before making a turn down the left and with the outside of his boot, set up for the advancing Jere whose first time attempt hit the back of the net.
Earlier, the former Ugandan league top scorer tested the custodian inside the first six minutes when he controlled a long pass with his right foot before unleashing a shot that the goalie parried away. He had another attempt saved in the 10th minute.
It was the first time this season, in seven outings that the club managed three successive league wins.
