Reigning league champions KCCA are hunting for former Maroons midfielder, Hudu Mulikyi’s signature according to sources close to the player.
Mulikyi, 22, is understood to have been approached by the gaffer himself Mike Mutebi with reports that if lured he will maintain his current pay at URA.
It’s also reported that West Nile side Onduparaka are interested in the player’s signature. Livingstone Mbabazi is a known long-term admirer of Mulikyi, and is looking to beef up his squad ahead of his side’s second campaign in the Uganda Premier League.
Mulikyi who joined the tax collectors from Maroons last season has one year left on his contract. The midfielder did not receive enough game time in his early days at the club but was a regular in the second round.
According to sources, URA is not willing to sell the player. It is understood that the club is set to table another two year deal for the player who was converted into a defensive midfielder by Kefa Kisala.
