Days after agreeing terms with FUFA Big League side Lira United as their head coach, CAF ‘C’ licensed coach Allan Kabonge Kivewala has set a target.

Kabonge revealed to Kawowo Sports in an exclusive interview that his target among others is to transform that Lango playground into a slaughter ground.

I want to win all the games at home.

My target is to help Lira United get promotion to the Uganda Premier League, look for new talents in Northern Uganda and make our home ground a slaughter ground

Kabonge was nick named the ‘Messiah’ for saving Express from eminent jaws of relegation back in the days.

In two seasons, he has helped two clubs – Onduparaka and Masavu get promoted to the top flight.

He believes that he will use the same expertise to help Lira United attain promotion.

I believe in teamwork and commitment from the team management. Now, I have the experience for the FUFA Big League and I have the hope that I will make.

I will use the same tactics that I used at Onduparaka and Masavu to get the results.

Kabonge has agreed terms and conditions with the club director who has keen interest in developing football in Lira and Northern Uganda as a whole.

The financial details involving Kabonge’s transfer to Lira United remain muted at large but the duration has been confirmed for a season.

Kabonge has started the early planning procedure to see him assemble a formidable side.

I will recruit some players and use a large bulk from Northern Uganda because that region has so many talented players.

Players are my best friends because they help us coaches to get the desired results. I also plan to hire some foreign based players

The former Uganda U-20, Victors and Express creative midfielder skipped the on-going CAF B coaching course at the FUFA Technical Center because of ‘limited funding’.

He has also previously coached Busiro and lately Buwekula Masaza teams.
